Emma's Throwback Thursday "Cricut-less" Challenge

Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, it's been crazy around here.  Such is life right?!?!  Anyways, I finally found some time to make a card for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.  It was kind of hard for me because I was really itching to use my cricut.  One of my dear friends gave me some really cool stamps from D.O.T.S (Dozens of Terrific Stamps) and some stamp pads from Close to my Heart.  So I thought I would try them out and see how they are.

I used a set of 4 stamps from D.O.T.S. that's a rose and a leaf.  The ink I used is from Close to my Heart andthe colors are Primrose and New England Ivy. I used the stamp-off method from Stampin' Up to get the different colors out of the two inks.   These probably aren't colors that are in use anymore, but I haven't checked to find out.  The cardstock is from a pack by Best Occasions that I bought from Walmart.  The pink is out of my scrap stash.  I rounded the corners using a corner rounder and inked up all the edges using Creamy Brown ink from Color Box.  I then popped up the layered image using popdots and the green colored ribbon from Walmart also.  The "Thank You" Sentiment is form a stamp set I bought from JoAnns that was stamped in black ink.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me!  I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!!!

Hi All,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to their week.  Tonight I went to a class at my nearby scrapbook store on making a special days to remember book.  It's soooo cute!  I go to these to get ideas and to also get inspired to make other things!  So I made this card using a My Mind's Eye Paper and Accessories Pack.  It's from the Colorful Christmas and the Merry Days of Christmas collections.  I love this paper!  It's all Christmas paper and accessories like trees, snowflakes, tags, sentiments, people, snowmen, cute snow bears, and borders.  I had a lot of fun making this card even though I didn't use my cricut!  I can't believe it either!  Isn't the snowman just the cutest thing?!  I love love love snowmen!  Thank you for stopping by to visit me and I hope you have an awesome week!!

Birthday Card

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone's Monday is going well.  Mine is!! I was able to make a cute birthday card for a family member!  I hope she likes it!!!

All cardstock used was DCWV.  The two patterned papers are from the Nana's Nursery Baby Girl Stack.  The cupcake is from Everyday Paper Dolls cut at 3 3/4" and I just cut 2 of them and cut the bottom off and attached it to the top.  The pink satin ribbon is from Walmart.  The stamps are from Stampin' Ups Birthday Bakery line that I got for being a hostess!  They were both stamped in Rich Razzleberry.  I used my blender pen and the Stampin' Up Pastels in Pink Passion, Positively Pink, and Pretty in Pink for the tag on the envelope.  The stitching was done with a white pigment ink pen from signo.  I hope everyone has a great week and thank you for taking the time to visit me!!!!

Color Challenge From My Pink Stamper Live

Hi everyone!
I have been busy lately getting Christmas Cards done for my family and last night I took some time out to watch My Pink Stampers' Live Broadcast.  It was a lot of fun to watch them and if you would like to watch the Live Broadcast click here!  The challenge was to make something using the colors pink, purple, and green.  So here's what I made:

The blue base and the green grass are from a multicolored cardstock pack from Walmart!  The base was cut at 4 1/2in x 9in.  The green grass was cut from my gypsy and its measured at 6 1/4in x 4 1/2in.  The butterfly and its layer are from the Disney Pooh and Friends Cart cut at 3 1/2in.  The pink sating ribbon is from Walmart and I used My Pink Stampers Cheater Method to attach it to the base.  The butterfly was popped up using 3M foam tape.  I then stickled the butterfly using Coffee Ice Stickles.  The "I miss you" stamp was from a stamp set from Joann's.  Sorry I don't know the manufacturer.  Thank you for your time in stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.  Comments are welcome!!

Christmas Card

Hi Everyone!
I have been working on my Christmas Cards and I made a few of these. I had so much fun making these!

The card base is white cardstock from Target cut at 9in by 6 1/4in.  The next layer is a red cardstock from my scarp paper stash cut at 4 1/4in by 6in.  The next layer is a shimmer white paper I picked up at a scrapbook expo from a retailer (forgot their name too!), cut at 4in by 5 3/4in.  I then cuttlebugged 3/4 of that layer with a Sizzix snowflake embossing folder.  The ribbon I bought from a garage sale.  It was a very old ribbon that I thought looked very vintage.  The tree I cut using my gypsy from the Paper Doll Dress Up cart at 3.5in.  I then popped the tree up with pop dots and stickled the tree using Diamond, Xmas Red, Golden Rod, and Green.  The Merry Christmas stamp is from Stampin' Ups Season's Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Black by a la mode ink.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a Great Day!

Cute Card Challenge

Hi Everyone!
I hope your week is going well.  My week has been pretty good so far.  This is a card I made for My Pink Stamper's Card Challenge.  All it has to be is cute and I think this card is really cute!

The girl was cut at 3.5 inches and she's from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart.  All of her accessories were cut to match.  I then used a 1 in. face from Peachy Keen's Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment.  I colored the cheeks in with Stampin' Up Pastels in Blush Blossom.  All paper was out of my scrap bin except for the background paper that was from the DCWV Stack 7.  The ribbon is a brown satin from Walmart.  I crumpled the leaves up and then rubbed them in Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap, and dried the leaves with my heat tool.  I then popped the girl and the leaves up with pop dots.  The "Autumn Blessings" stamp was from a pack by Inkadinkado from Joann's.  Thank you all for visiting my blog and I hope you all have a great week!!!

Snowman Card

Hi everyone!
I hope you all are having a great Sunday!  I have been very busy this weekend.  I hosted a scrapbooking day at my house.  So yesterday, a few ladies came over to scrap, and get other projects done.  I got a lot done.  I made 25 Cards for Soldiers.  If you would like to make some cards for soldiers just go to the cricut website at www.cricut.com and click on community and scroll down to Cards for Soldiers..  You don't have to do as many as I did or you can do more.  Its completely up to you!  I just enjoy making cards for our men and women over seas who are fighting for my freedom. Anyways, I also completed a brag book for my mom of my daughter.  So I feel like I accomplished a lot!

Here is a card I made for My Pink Stamper's Saturday Challenge.  I had a lot of fun making this card and I didn't even use the cricut.  Can you believe that?  I can't believe it either.  All paper was from DCWV Textured Christmas Mat Stack.  The snow globe, snowman, and snowflakes are all stamps from Stampin' Up.  I colored the images in with colored pencils.  The satin ribbon is 5/8" from Walmart.  And then I tied a simple bow.  Very simple and cute!  Thank you so much for visiting me and I hope your week goes well!

Thanksgiving Card for Soldiers

Hi Everyone!
I hope your week is going well so far. Mine has been very busy!  I signed up on the cricut message board to make cards for soldiers for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The Olive color ribbon was from Walmart and I used the My Pink Stamper cheater method to save ribbon and I tied a very simple bow on it.  I cut the leaf out of brown card stock at 4 inches from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and glued it on with Zig Two Way glue pen.  Than I welded the "GIVE" and the "THANKS" using the gypsy and cut out the "GIVE" at 1 inch out of burnt orange paper and "THANKS" at 3/4 inch out of light brown paper. I sent the "GIVE" and the "THANKS" through the Xyron and stuck them on the background paper which I found in a local scrapbook store.

I hope you all have a great rest of the week and thank you for stopping by my blog!

Card Box

Hi everyone!  I know its been a while since I've posted anything, but it has been really busy around here!  Such is life, right?!?!

Well, I have been working hard all week on this project. I took paper from the DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies Stack!  I love this stack.  I love all of the colors and the glitter! I covered a regular shoe box with the paper using red tape adhesive.  I used purple ribbon from Walmart for around the box and pink satin ribbon from Walmart for on top.  I used prima flowers and the brads were by Petaloo and Little Yellow Bicycle and they were popped up using pop dots. The decor tag was cut from the Gypsy Wanderings Cartridge cut at 4.5 inches from white shimmer paper and the shadow cut from Blue paper from the Blossoms and Butterflies stack at 5.5 inches. I then used the cricut markers in pink and drew with the cricut the word Cards on it from the Gypsy font cartridge.  I used pop dots on both the shadow and the the top layer to give it more dimension!  I then used stickers from K & Company called Berry Sweet for the sides of the box.   I love it and I can't wait to put all the cards I make into it!  Thank you for taking the time out to visit my blog!!

1st Birthday 2 Page Layout

Hello again!
Like I said, I have been very busy.  This was a very simple and easy 2 page scrapbook layout.  It took me 5 minutes!  Can you believe that?  I can't and that's why I love it!  So easy yet soooo cute.  We had some professional pictures done for her 1st Birthday even though she's 3 now.  Yes, I'm really trying to catch up and I'm almost done.

The adorable paper is from a scrapbook store where I live but made by Creative Imaginations called Clouds & Banners.  The Banner states,"happy birthday to you".  I backed the pictures in pink paper and chalked up the edges with Color Box ink in Dark Brown to make the pictures stand out.  Then the stickers are from sticker packs from EK Success.  Thanks again for coming to my blog!

Sweet Baby Scapbook Page

Hi Everyone!
For the Sweet Baby title I used the Gypsy Wandering Cartridge and was cut at 4inches on pink paper.  I then used Coffee Ice Stickles to Bling up the title. I used background paper from a paper pack from Walmart. I then backed the pictures in a coordinating paper.  The hand and foot print stickers are EK Success.  The "Special Delivery", "Feed Me I'm Hungry" bottle, and carriage stickers are from Karen Foster Design.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!

Holly Christmas Card

Hi Everyone!
Today I decided to start making Christmas cards.  I actually made 4 of these.  I used the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge on this one.  I got the white card stock from a stack from Walmart.  I love buying their cheap white card stock!  The red, white, and green polka dotted paper was from a DCWV Christmas mat stack.  I cut the holly out of green paper at 3 1/4 inches and the berries from Christmas red card stock I bought from scrapbooking store where I live.  I also used red ribbon from Walmart. I used a Merry Christmas stamp from a holiday stamp set I bought from JoAnns.  I then blingged the holly and berries up with Xmas Red and Green Stickles.  I love these cards! So cute and very easy to make!  Thank you for coming to my blog!

Thinking of You Card

Hi Everyone!Today, I made a cute and simple card using Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and Accent Essentials.  I cut out the Fireflies from yellow card stock and blingged(if that's even a word) them up with Stickles.  I then cut out the firefly holder/canister from dark blue card stock at 3 3/4 inches.  I used my swiss dots cuttlebug folder (I like this one) and cuttlebug on the light blue paper to give it texture.  Then I cut out the scalloped squares from the Accent Essentials cart.  The white scalloped square is shimmer paper to make it pop. I then used pop dots from Walmart to pop up the fireflies and then I used foam tape to pop up the holder/canister.  I then used ribbon from Michaels called Dancer.  Thank you for coming to my blog!

First Post and First Challenge!

Hi Everyone and Thank You for coming to my blog!
Today this is my Very First Post and my Very First Challenge that I am making something for so I am very excited. I decided to make a 2 page scrapbook layout for the Robins' My Pink Stamper Winter challenge.

I used snowflake paper from the DCWV Stack 7 as my background. Then I cut out the Snowman Winter title using my gypsy at 3.41 inches and welded the snowflakes together and those were cut at 3.41 inches too. The buttons I found in my button jar that has a mass of different buttons that I found at a garage sale. The snowman's eyes were stamped on using Peachy Keen Stamps. The blue strips of card stock were cut at 3 inches by 12 inches then put through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder.
